Chief of Staff for U.S. Representative Jimmy Gomez (D-CA), serving as a senior adviser helping translate the congressman's ideas into legislative and policy action. Prior to this role (since July 2022), Paz served as Chief of Staff to Rep. Debbie Mucarsel-Powell, and has held senior communications and policy positions in the offices of Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer, and Rep. Gene Green. He also worked as Communications Director for the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Paz began his career as a community organizer in Houston and has worked on numerous campaigns. He holds a BA in Political Science from George Washington University (2004-2008).
