Previously served as Legislative Director, where she staffed the Congressman on the House Foreign Affairs Committee and the U.S.-Mexico Interparliamentary Group and oversaw all legislative operations. Prior Legislative Assistant to Rep. Henry Cuellar (D-TX), supporting his work on the House Appropriations Committee. Earlier served as Research Assistant at the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in Brussels, Belgium. Holds BA in History from Rice University and MSc in Conflict Studies from London School of Economics and Political Science. South Texas native whose passion for public service was inspired by her father and great-uncle's service in local and federal government.
