Legislative Director for U.S. Senator John Cornyn (R-Texas), managing all policy operations for the Senator including his roles as Chairman of the Judiciary Subcommittee on Border Security and Immigration, Finance Subcommittee on International Trade, and the Senate Caucus on International Narcotics Control. Previously served as Senior Counsel to Senator Cornyn on the Senate Judiciary Committee (2011–2016), where he advised on immigration, border security, and criminal justice. Served as lead Republican staff negotiator on the Bipartisan Safer Communities Act (2022) and oversaw drafting and negotiation of the CHIPS for America Act. Has overseen enactment of 84 bipartisan laws sponsored by Senator Cornyn.
