Previously served as Senior Policy Advisor at Akin Gump Strauss Hauer & Feld LLP, where he advised on health policy and regulatory compliance issues including coverage, coding, pricing, and value-based payment. Before that, Senior Advisor to CMS Administrator Seema Verma, where he worked on health policy strategy and received three 2020 CMS Honor Awards for COVID-19 task force work. Earlier served as Legislative Director to Rep. Kristi Noem (R-SD), advising on health insurance tax repeal, Tax Cuts and Jobs Act, Medicare payment reforms, and Indian Health Service oversight. Also served as Legislative Assistant for Republicans on the House Ways and Means Committee. Nearly a decade of government service.
