Legislative Director for U.S. Representative Clay Higgins (R-LA-3), serving since June 2025. Sorenson graduated from Clemson University in December 2020 with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and English, and earned a Master of Arts from the U.S. Naval War College with a concentration in Irregular Warfare. Prior to his current role, he held positions as Legislative Correspondent in Senator Ashley Moody's office, Legislative Assistant in the Tennessee state legislature, and Legislative Correspondent/Staff Assistant in the office of U.S. Representative Jeff Duncan. His background and current work focus on defense, military, and national security policy.
